Epping RSL Bowls Club was originally founded around 1993, by a small group of Epping RSL members.
In 2000 the Epping RSL Committee took on the challenge to install 2 greens. The construction of synthetic greens commenced in June 2003 and was officially opened on the 16th of November 2004.
The synthetic greens are now gone and have been replaced with 2 grass greens (Tiff Dwarf).
Since the club’s inception, we have participated in the Metropolitan Pennant Finals season almost every year with the culmination of our first ever Metropolitan Pennant Flag (the big one) by our 2015/16 division 6 side – which was proudly followed up by our division 5 side winning the Metropolitan Pennant Flag in the 2016/17 season. In the 2017/2018 season all four pennant teams participated in finals.
Great achievements for the club and ones we hope to replicate many more times over the coming years.
In the 2016/17 season, the club hosted its first ever tournament, which was a huge success having entries from clubs all around Melbourne as well as some country clubs.
We will continue to host these tournaments into the future.
We always welcome visitors, social, new or experienced bowlers and every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3.00pm during Pennant season you will find friendly members on the green eager to introduce you to the game.
We also have a club coach available for new bowlers to learn the techniques of lawn bowls or to hone your skills as an existing bowler.
Membership fees for the 2022/2023 season are:
Adults: $120
Juniors (Under 18): Free
New Members: (First year only) : Membership fee waived (Conditions apply)
Membership fees include Bowls Victoria affiliation fees and are due on the 1st of April each year.
Please note that all members of the Bowls Club must also become members of the RSL Sub-Branch either existing or by joining the Epping RSL Sub Branch.
Social Bowls is played on Saturdays commencing at 12.30pm through the months of May to August.

This season the Club has entered into the Bowls Victoria Pennant Competition, Five teams; Saturday Pennant; Division 2 Division 3 and Division 6 as well as two mid-week Tuesday pennant teams; Division 4 and Division 5
